Job Overview

Responsibilities 

  • Greet guests and provide friendly, attentive service.
  • Take and accurately enter food and beverage orders.
  • Prepare cocktails, mixed drinks, shots, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages according to house recipes and standards.
  • Maintain consistent and accurate liquor pours.
  • Check identification and follow all applicable alcohol-service laws and policies.
  • Recognize signs of intoxication and responsibly refuse or discontinue alcohol service when necessary.
  • Prepare drink orders for both bar guests and restaurant servers quickly and accurately.
  • Maintain knowledge of liquor, beer, cocktails, drink specials, and menu items.
  • Handle cash, credit cards, tabs, and POS transactions accurately.
  • Keep the bar clean, organized, stocked, and ready for service.
  • Stock liquor, beer, mixers, garnishes, glassware, ice, and other bar supplies.
  • Wash and properly store glassware and bar equipment.
  • Monitor inventory and notify management when products or supplies are running low.
  • Follow proper sanitation, food-safety, and alcohol-handling procedures.
  • Maintain a clean bar top and promptly remove empty glasses, bottles, and trash.
  • Complete assigned opening, running, and closing side work.
  • Assist with cleaning, stocking, and other duties during slower periods.
  • Communicate effectively with servers, kitchen staff, security, and management.
  • Help maintain a safe and professional environment for guests and employees.
  • Handle guest concerns professionally and involve management when necessary.
  • Work efficiently and remain professional during high-volume periods.
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, recipes, and service standards.
  • Work as a team and assist coworkers when needed.

Skills 

  • Previous bartending experience is a must!
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
