Biergarten on 424 Octavia st is looking for experienced, proactive, talented cooks to join our team! Knowledge of German Cuisine is appreciated, but not required.
Roles & Responsibilities
● Prep, cook and assemble dishes as indicated by recipes
● Perform portion control and minimize waste to keep cost within forecasted range
● Set up and clean station according to restaurant protocol, appropriately stocking inventory
● Maintain a clean work station area, including kitchen equipment, surfaces, and shelves
● Comply with applicable sanitary, health, personal hygiene and safety standards both regulated by the state as well as expected from the restaurant
● Ensure quality and freshness of ingredients and products
● Perform additional tasks as assigned by the lead line cook, sous-chef, or CDC
● Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
● Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
● Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
● Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and managers
● Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks Essential functions of position
