Job Overview

Responsibilities 

  • Greet guests, take food and drink orders
  • Enter all orders through Toast point of sale system, split checks and swipe payments correctly
  • Know the menu, daily specials, draft list and allergen information well enough to make recommendations and upsell
  • Check ID's and sere alcohol responsibly in line with NJ ABC regulations
  • Keep tables, service stations and dining areas clean and stocked throughout shift
  • Communicate with kitchen on timing, modifications and 86ed items
  • Work Private events and banquets as scheduled including plated service and buffet support
  • Complete opening, running and closing side work
  • Handle guest concerns quickly and involve manager when needed
  • Pour your own drinks at our service bar

Skills 

  • Prior serving experience in a full-service fast paced restaurant
  • Comfortable with Toast Point of Sale or similar system
  • Strong verbal communication and genuine, friendly presence with guests
  • Ability to multi-task and stay composed during high volume service
  • Basic math for check accuracy, splits and cash handling
  • Team oriented- willing to help bus, run food and support other sections
  • Must be 18+ to serve alcohol in New Jersey
  • Able to stand and walk for extended shifts
  • Weekend, evening, and holiday availability required
