Job Description:

The Club at Prairie Falls is currently seeking a customer-oriented and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Golf Shop Attendant/assistant pro. This position plays a vital role in providing excellent service to our golfers by assisting with merchandise sales, tee time bookings, and overall operations of the golf shop.

Responsibilities:

  1. Customer Service: Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner. Provide information about merchandise, golf services, and answer inquiries.
  2. Point of Sale Operations: Process golf shop transactions, including merchandise sales, tee time reservations, and rentals. Ensure accuracy in all transactions and handle cash, credit cards, and other forms of payment.
  3. Merchandising: Maintain a clean and organized golf shop appearance. Assist with restocking merchandise, arranging displays, and updating signage.
  4. Tee Time Management: Coordinate and schedule tee times for golfers, ensuring efficient use of available slots and providing information on course conditions and policies.
  5. Phone and Email Communication: Handle phone calls and emails professionally, providing information on golf services, rates, and other inquiries. Assist with resolving customer issues or directing them to the appropriate personnel.
  6. Inventory Control: Assist with monitoring and managing inventory levels. Communicate with the management team to reorder stock as needed.
  7. Promotions and Sales: Promote golf shop promotions, events, and sales initiatives. Encourage customer participation and engagement.
  8. Assist with Special Events: Support the coordination and execution of special events, tournaments, and promotions taking place in the golf shop.

Requirements:

  • 1-2 Years in the golf industry preferred.
  • Previous retail or customer service experience, preferably in a golf shop or related industry.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with golf merchandise and equipment.
  • Knowledge of point of sale systems and basic computer skills.
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays, and flexible hours based on business needs.
