Job Overview

About Game Theory

Game Theory is a restaurant, bar, and board game library built around one simple idea: people need more places to spend meaningful time together. Our guests come for dinner, drinks, date nights, celebrations, trivia, and a few hours around the table with friends.

We're looking for friendly, dependable servers who provide great hospitality, take ownership of their work, and enjoy being part of a team.

What You'll Do

  • Welcome guests and guide them through the Game Theory experience
  • Take and deliver accurate food and beverage orders
  • Learn our menu, drinks, Play Pass, and board game library
  • Stay attentive to your tables throughout their visit
  • Maintain a clean, stocked, and organized section
  • Complete opening, closing, and assigned side work
  • Communicate and work closely with the kitchen, bar, and FOH team
  • Help create the warm, fun environment our guests come back for

What We're Looking For

  • Reliable and punctual
  • Friendly, confident, and comfortable talking with guests
  • Able to work independently and notice what needs attention
  • Willing to learn and receptive to feedback
  • Calm and organized during busy shifts
  • A team player who helps beyond their own section when needed
  • Restaurant experience is a plus, but strong hospitality instincts and work ethic matter most

Qualifications

  • Must meet Texas minimum age requirements for serving alcohol

  • Able to obtain and maintain required Food Handler and TABC certifications

  • Able to communicate effectively with guests and team members

  • Able to stand and remain mobile for shifts of up to 8 hours

  • Able to repeatedly lift and carry up to 30 lbs., including high chairs, ice bins, and glass racks

  • Reliable transportation to and from scheduled shifts

  • Evening and weekend availability, including Fridays and Saturdays

Schedule

We're primarily an evening and weekend business, so night and weekend availability is important, particularly Fridays and Saturdays.

New servers complete a structured training program before working independently.

Think you'd be a good fit? We'd love to meet you.
