Steel City Coffeehouse & Brewery in Phoenixville is currently hiring a full-time DAY SHIFT General Manager.

  • 2 or more years experience required.
  • We are looking for a strong, capable person with an outgoing personality, calm demeanor, good sense of humor who works well under pressure and is capable of running the shop consistently and successfully.

Responsibilities

  • Learn every aspect regarding the daily operations of Steel City Coffeehouse & Brewery, and become a pivotal member of our family!
  • Conduct quarerly evaulations. Get to know the staff and their personalities, schedule one-on-ones to discuss their time at Steel City, growth and ambitions.
  • Become capable of successfully running the shop on any given day, in a manner consistent with ownership’s ideals and practices.
  • Prepare for and assist owners with the expansion of the business. Interview, hire and train employees, as well as handle all disciplinary issues with the staff. Fill in for FOH or BOH staff members in the event that there is a need.
  • Get to know our community and especially our regulars - It’s very important that we maintain our “home away from home” vibe for our guests, and every guest needs to know that you care about their comfort and happiness. Manager needs to be able to handle complaints and to take necessary action to resolve the issue.

Skills

  • Must be a team player. Experience in a cafe/coffeeshop environment is a plus!
  • Farmiliar with word & Excel GOOGLE Drive

What We Offer:

  • Starting wage of $42,000+ for the first year of employment plus a holiday bonus and other bonuses to be distributed throughout the year based on performance. No more than 50 hours weekly.
  • Two consecutive days off weekly, unless circumstances dictate otherwise (after training/assimilation period concludes, special events, holidays, staffing shortages, etc.).
  • 5 (five) paid vacation days will be available after 6 months of employment.
  • $50 per month gift card to be used at either of our locations.
  • Employer will pay for 50% of Health Insurance.
  • Bonuses and other perks will become available based on your longevity with our company.
