Position Summary
The Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation throughout the kitchen. You’ll operate dish machines, wash pots and pans, keep work areas organized, and help with general cleaning. This position plays a key role in safety, cleanliness, and team efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
· Wash dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and equipment according to safety standards.
· Operate and maintain the dish machine, checking sanitizer levels and water temperature.
· Keep dish area, sinks, floors, and trash areas clean and organized.
· Follow the 3-sink method when washing manually.
· Use sanitizer test strips and maintain required concentration levels.
· Handle all cleaning chemicals safely and label properly.
· Empty trash and keep work areas swept and mopped.
· Assist cooks or servers with supplies when needed.
· Help prepare the kitchen for the next shift and complete end-of-shift cleaning tasks.
· Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.

· Operate the dish machine and 3-sink system independently.
· Maintain a clean, organized workspace throughout the shift.
· Keep up with peak rush times without falling behind, or be comfortable asking for (or accepting) help.
· Demonstrate proper chemical use and safety awareness.
· Communicate effectively with cooks and servers.
· Receive recognition from teammates for reliability and effort.
