Overview
We’re a well-established supper club with a steady team, and we’re not short-staffed or hiring just anyone. We’re looking for the right person to join a disciplined, fast-paced kitchen and grow into a Sous Chef role. You’ll work with classic supper club dishes, consistent standards, and a crew that takes pride in clean stations, smooth service, and reliable execution. Experience in restaurants or banquet work highly valued.
Duties
- Prepare and cook high-quality dishes to menu specs and presentation standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized station and follow strict portion and safety standards.
- Assist with menu planning, inventory control, and overall kitchen efficiency.
- Lead and guide kitchen staff during service, supporting a strong team culture.
- Oversee production processes to ensure consistency and quality.
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and help control food costs.
- Maintain equipment and ensure the kitchen meets all sanitation rules.
- Train new team members on technique, safety, and Nightingale standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience on the line in a fast-paced kitchen; fine dining or banquet background preferred.
- Strong understanding of food safety and handling procedures.
- Skill in cooking techniques, menu execution, and kitchen operations.
- Ability to stay calm under pressure and maintain consistency during busy dinner service.
- Experience with inventory management and cost control.
- Hospitality background is a plus; catering or event experience is helpful.
