Job Description

Each Cook at Stone Tower Brews is a valued member of the Back of House (BOH), working to help produce quality food for our customers. They help prepare food and maintain the excellence of our kitchens.

Job Duties

  • Food Preparation & Quality Control
    • Inspect and clean food preparation areas, such as equipment, work surfaces, and serving areas to ensure safe and sanitary food handling practices.
    • Season and cook food according to Stone Tower recipes and the instruction of the Head/Sous Chefs.
    • Ensure food preparation is according to all temperature requirements.
    • Prepare raw foods for cooking, including peeling, de-seeding, chopping, etc.
  • Operational Support & Inventory Management
    • Assists in tracking kitchen inventory and stocking.
    • Assists the Store Manager by completing assigned tasks.
    • Notifies head chef and manager of equipment maintenance needs and submits work orders.
    • Communicates with the Head Chef for kitchen improvements and adjustments.
  • Other duties as assigned.
    • While this description aims to capture all duties and responsibilities of the Cook position, we recognize that some flexibility is required for emergency situations and potential changes in staffing.

Job Requirements

  • Must have a valid Food Handler certification or be willing to obtain one prior to starting employment, at the company’s expense.
  • Demonstrates a love of food and willingness to learn.
  • Demonstrates exceptional communication and active listening skills.
  • Ability to lift 25+ pounds and perform repetitive motions.
