Line Cook
Job Purpose: To complete all assigned prep work and sets up cook’s station. Maintains product presentations, product quality and cook time standards. Prepares all menu items according to recipes, plate presentations and specifications.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare menu items according to recipes, plate presentations and specifications
  • Complete all assigned prep work
  • Set up work station according to station diagram
  • Practice sanitary and safe food handling at all times
  • Clean and sanitize the work area before, during and after shift
  • Complete assigned daily and weekly cleaning projects
  • Comply with all local, state, and federal laws, including but not limited to:
  • Completion of Ward County food safety certification

Requirements:

  • Reading, writing and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to stand and exert fast-paced mobility for periods of up to 6 hours in length
  • Ability to frequently reach, bend, and stoop
  • Ability to use all kitchen equipment and tools following health and safety procedures
  • Possess finger and hand dexterity for using small tools and equipment
  • Ability to lift and transport items up to 50 pounds frequently throughout shift
  • Ability to respond in emergency situations to avoid imminent dangers to self and others
