THE ROLE
We’re looking for a Caker (Cake Decorator) to join our bakery team. You’ll be responsible for assembling, icing, filling, and decorating cakes and select pastries to Tous Les Jours’s visual and quality standards. Our cakes are known for clean, elegant designs with fresh cream and fruit — your work goes directly into the display case where it sells itself.
This is equal parts precision and artistry. Every cake you make is a showcase piece and a customer’s celebration centerpiece.
Responsibilities
- Build, ice, fill, and decorate cakes and pastries following TLJ recipes and visual standards.
- Execute custom orders including message writing, fruit arrangements, and specialty designs.
- Maintain the cake display case — keep it full, rotated, and visually appealing throughout the day.
- Manage daily cake production list and pre-orders.
- Maintain strict temperature control for fresh cream products.
- Keep your decorating station clean, organized, and food-safe at all times.
Skills
- Cake decorating experience required — professional bakery, custom cake shop, or equivalent. Portfolio or photos of your work are a huge plus.
- Experience with fresh cream / whipped cream cakes strongly preferred. Korean or Asian-style cake experience is a bonus.
- Clean, steady hand skills — piping, lettering, borders, and fruit arrangement.
- Ability to reproduce designs consistently from reference photos and spec sheets.
- Production-volume mindset — you can decorate 15–20 cakes in a day, not just one showpiece.
- Food Handler certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days).
