Woodsby's Cafe has been a cornerstone of the Kissimmee community for 25 years. We are a family-owned restaurant proud to have earned Best Breakfast, Best Burger, and Best Home Cooking in Osceola County — three times over. From sunrise to sunset, we serve breakfast, lunch, dinner, daily specials, and everything in between across our 82-seat dining room. We're more than a restaurant — we're a gathering place, and every guest who walks through our door deserves to feel that from the first smile to the last bite.

THE ROLE

We're looking for a warm, organized, and guest-focused Hostess / Server Assistant to be the heartbeat of our front-of-house experience. You are the first face guests see and the last impression they carry with them. Working closely alongside our 12-person FOH team, you'll manage the flow of our dining room, keep things moving during our busiest shifts, and be the glue that helps our servers deliver exceptional service.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, people-first environment and takes real pride in hospitality done right.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Greet every guest with warmth and enthusiasm — make them feel genuinely welcomed from the moment they arrive.

·         Manage the Yelp waitlist and seating queue efficiently, providing accurate wait-time estimates and communicating clearly with guests.

·         Seat guests promptly and guide them to the right table based on party size, server rotation, and dining room flow.

·         Monitor table turnover and assist in resetting tables quickly and thoroughly between guests to minimize wait times during peak hours.

·         Assist servers with bussing, refilling beverages, running food, and any floor support that helps keep service on track.

·         Maintain cleanliness, organization, and visual appeal of the host stand, entrance, and dining room at all times.

·         Communicate wait times and special needs (large parties, dietary requests, accessibility) to the FOH Manager proactively.

·         Support a positive and team-oriented atmosphere by jumping in wherever needed, no task too small.

·         Adhere to all opening and closing duties for the front-of-house area.

Saturday – Sunday

7:00 AM – 8:00 PM

Weekend availability is required. Flexible scheduling available — shifts aligned with your availability.

QUALIFICATIONS

·         Previous experience in a hosting, dining room support, or customer-facing role preferred — restaurant or hospitality background is a plus.

·         Naturally warm, friendly, and confident when interacting with guests of all ages and backgrounds.

·         Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities at once in a busy dining environment.

·         Ability to stay calm, solution-focused, and professional during peak hours and high-volume shifts.

·         Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented — you show up ready to contribute.

·         Basic comfort with technology for managing the Yelp waitlist and seating tools.

·         Familiarity with 7Shifts scheduling software is a plus, but not required.

·         Must be able to stand for extended periods and move comfortably through a busy dining room.
