Hong Kong's Tim Ho Wan is reportedly the cheapest Michelin-starred restaurant in the world. New York's Tim Ho Wan has opened its door in 2016 in East Village, became famous for the long waiting line the customers make before opening every morning. We are the 2nd location in NYC, in Hell's Kitchen where many restaurants and foodies gather. Job Requirements: We are looking for a Restaurant Manager to ensure all daily activities run smoothly and efficiently. To be successful in this role, you should be familiar with restaurant operations and have a good understanding of what makes a great customer service. You should be available to work within opening hours, including weekends and holidays. Ultimately, you will help minimize operating costs, boost our employee retention and deliver a positive dining experience for our guests.

  • Ability to communicate in Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin) preferred
  • Ability to communicate in English (speaking and writing) required
  • Food Protection Certificate required
  • Experience in Chinese Dim Sum restaurant and/or basic knowledge of composition of Dim Sum cuisine preferred
  • Experience and Knowledge of using POS required
  • Multi-task, capability of working in fast paced environment are must, Work environment can be hot or cold occasionally
  • Organization skill, capability to handle heavy volume of work in concentrated periods of time

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee dining room (FOH) and kitchen (BOH), food and beverage service activities and ensure qualities, take care of delivery pick up orders
  • Communicate with employees, be a liaison between FOH and BOH staffs to serve guests smoothly
  • Check with guests to ensure customer satisfactions
  • Handle guest complains. Investigates and resolves food and beverage quality and service complaints
  • Ensure health, safety, sanitation and security standards are followed
  • Train, develop and lead subordinates to attain store and company goals. Supervise employees in accordance with operating policies and standards, provide assistance as needed
  • Establish and maintain good relationships with business vendors, employees, and other management members including Chefs
  • Work with General Manager in developing a marketing strategy, implementing advertising and promotional campaigns
  • Initiate, demonstrate, train, lead and ensure all employees’ participation in store/company sales and promotional activities and events
