Lead Bartender
Fifty Fifty Brewing Company
299 E Plumb Ln, Reno, NV 89502, USAJob Overview
Lead Bartender | FiftyFifty Brewing Co. @ RPM
At FiftyFifty Brewing, we believe life is about balance. Some days we’re in jeans, grilling burgers like it’s a backyard BBQ. Other days we’re locked in on a plated menu and a bar that runs clean and sharp. Same story in the glass. Maybe it’s a Belgian Tripel or a barrel-aged stout. Maybe it’s a crisp pilsner that tastes like discipline.
We respect style guidelines and technical brewing. We also believe a simple truth: if it tastes good, it’s good. No fuss. No pretension.
We’re opening at Reno Public Market and building our next footprint. This is an opening-team leadership role. You’ll help set the bar program, train the crew, and set the pace for how we operate. Our beer has earned major recognition at the Great American Beer Festival, including Brewery Group of the Year.
The role
You’re a working lead. You bartend. You also lead shifts, coach standards, and keep the room from getting loose when volume hits.
You set the tone behind the bar: speed without slop, hospitality without ego, and a team that knows the difference between “busy” and “in control.”
What you’ll be doing
You’ll run service with the team. Clean builds. correct pours. Accurate tabs. Calm hands.
You’ll help train and certify the bar crew on steps of service, beer knowledge, cocktails, ID checks, and guest recovery.
You’ll own the shift details that make or break execution: pars, restock, ice plan, glassware flow, station setup, and close-down quality.
You’ll coordinate with the floor and kitchen so tickets don’t stall and guests don’t feel it.
You’ll protect standards. That means coaching in the moment, fixing problems fast, and documenting what needs to change so the system improves.
What we’re looking for
2–5 years bartending in a high-volume environment. Leadership experience matters. Formal title doesn’t. If you’ve trained others, led shifts, and held standards under pressure, we want you.
You can talk beer in plain language. You can also read the guest and keep it simple.
You’re steady with cash handling, comps/voids, and POS speed.
You communicate cleanly with kitchen and floor. You don’t let problems age.
