Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and service-driven Front of House (FOH) Manager to lead our guest-facing operations. The FOH Manager is responsible for ensuring exceptional guest experiences, managing front-of-house staff, maintaining service standards, and driving overall operational excellence. This role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and a passion for hospitality.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Experience
- Ensure every guest receives prompt, professional, and friendly service
- Resolve guest concerns efficiently and diplomatically
- Maintain a welcoming atmosphere and uphold brand standards
- Monitor dining room flow and table management to optimize service
Team Leadership & Development
- Recruit, train, and supervise hosts, servers, bartenders, and support staff
- Create staff schedules and manage labor costs effectively
- Conduct pre-shift meetings to communicate goals, specials, and service focus
- Provide ongoing coaching, performance feedback, and development opportunities
- Foster a positive, team-oriented work culture
- Work alongside and in collaboration with other department managers & staff on private banquet events, Prairie Falls events, etc.
Operations Management
- Oversee daily front-of-house operations to ensure smooth service
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and compliance with health and safety regulations
- Coordinate with the kitchen to ensure timely and accurate food service
- Manage reservations, waitlists, and private dining events
- Monitor inventory of FOH supplies (menus, bar supplies, uniforms, etc.)
Financial & Administrative
- Support budget management and cost control initiatives
- Review daily sales reports and monitor key performance metrics
- Assist with time cards, cash handling, and end-of-day reconciliation
- Implement strategies to increase revenue and guest satisfaction
- Place bar orders with local beverage reps and maintain accurate ordering and receipt records for accounting.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of restaurant management experience preferred
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge of POS systems and restaurant management software
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Food safety certification (or ability to obtain)
