Front of House Manager

Location: Emma's inside The Club at Prairie Falls
Reports To: General Manager / Owner

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and service-driven Front of House (FOH) Manager to lead our guest-facing operations. The FOH Manager is responsible for ensuring exceptional guest experiences, managing front-of-house staff, maintaining service standards, and driving overall operational excellence. This role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and a passion for hospitality.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Experience

  • Ensure every guest receives prompt, professional, and friendly service
  • Resolve guest concerns efficiently and diplomatically
  • Maintain a welcoming atmosphere and uphold brand standards
  • Monitor dining room flow and table management to optimize service

Team Leadership & Development

  • Recruit, train, and supervise hosts, servers, bartenders, and support staff
  • Create staff schedules and manage labor costs effectively
  • Conduct pre-shift meetings to communicate goals, specials, and service focus
  • Provide ongoing coaching, performance feedback, and development opportunities
  • Foster a positive, team-oriented work culture
  • Work alongside and in collaboration with other department managers & staff on private banquet events, Prairie Falls events, etc.

Operations Management

  • Oversee daily front-of-house operations to ensure smooth service
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Coordinate with the kitchen to ensure timely and accurate food service
  • Manage reservations, waitlists, and private dining events
  • Monitor inventory of FOH supplies (menus, bar supplies, uniforms, etc.)

Financial & Administrative

  • Support budget management and cost control initiatives
  • Review daily sales reports and monitor key performance metrics
  • Assist with time cards, cash handling, and end-of-day reconciliation
  • Implement strategies to increase revenue and guest satisfaction
  • Place bar orders with local beverage reps and maintain accurate ordering and receipt records for accounting.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of restaurant management experience preferred
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Knowledge of POS systems and restaurant management software
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Food safety certification (or ability to obtain)
