Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced and creative Head Chef to join our kitchen team. The Head Chef will be responsible for leading the kitchen operations of the restaurant and creating an enjoyable dining experience for our customers. The Head Chef will be expected to work closely with the Sous Chef to develop menus, plan meals, and ensure the quality of food and presentation meets established standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all kitchen operations and staff, including hiring, training, and evaluating
  • Develop new recipes and menus and collaborate with the Sous Chef on meal planning
  • Monitor inventory and order supplies and ingredients as needed
  • Create cost-effective menus and manage the budget for kitchen operations
  • Implement and maintain safety and sanitation standards
  • Handle customer complaints in a professional manner
  • Resolve any issues that may arise in the kitchen
  • Ensure the quality of food and presentation meets established standards

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or similar role
  • Excellent understanding of various cooking techniques, ingredients, equipment and procedures
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
  • Outstanding organizational and leadership skills
  • Good communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Passion for cooking, experimenting with new recipes, and the culinary arts
