ROLE OVERVIEW
This is a contract hybrid role for an Event Bartender. We are currently seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Event Bartender to join our dynamic team. At MMK Mixology Services, we are all about creating memorable experiences through innovative and delicious beverages. As a Mixologist/Bartender, you will be at the forefront of this mission, crafting bespoke cocktails and delivering top-notch service to our clients.
****Contract Position or Per Event - Additional opportunities are available for good job performance.
****This position is for our events located in the Houston, TX - weddings, corporate events, festivals, etc - Dallas/Fort Worth, TX areas & Texas Motor Speedway & Texas State Fair
****You will be classified as a 1099 - Independent Contractor with MMK Mixology if offered the job.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Create unique, innovative cocktails and non-alcoholic drinks in line with clients' requirements and event themes.
Provide exceptional customer service, interacting with customers in a friendly and professional manner.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of bar areas, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
Prepare garnishes, infusions, and other cocktail ingredients.
Collaborate with the team on menu development and special event offerings.
Manage the bar inventory and supplies.
REQUIREMENTS
Proven experience as a bartender, with knowledge of mixology, drink menus, and classic cocktail preparation.
TABC Certification & Food Handlers Certification required.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Exceptional knowledge of health and safety regulations.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items.
Creativity, enthusiasm, and a passion for events.
Willingness to work during evening hours, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Willing to do a Background Check.
Customer service and communication skills.
Experience in food and beverage service.
Experience in cash handling and credit card sales.
Ability to work in a high-volume fast-paced environment
Excellent interpersonal skills
Professional appearance and demeanor
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience in event staffing is a plus

Hourly Base Pay + Tips
Shift Pay + Tips
***THE GIGS THAT ARE HOURLY PAY AMOUNT WITHOUT TIPS ONSITE (THE CLIENT IS TO ADD A GRATUITY, JUST NO TIP JARS WILL BE ON BARS) WILL BE A HIGHER HOURLY AMOUNT THAN WORKING A GIG THAT HAS A HOURLY RATE + TIPS (STADIUM WORK, FESTIALS, ETC)
We post our events in our scheduling app, which then notifies our roster to sign up if interested in working the event. You are given the event name, type of event, date, check-in time & estimated check-out time & what the event payout is BEFORE you sign up. Once you sign up, you are responsible for working your shift or getting it covered if something comes up.
**NO CALL/NO-SHOWS WILL NOT BE TOLERATED & THE CONTRACTOR WILL BE REMOVED FROM OUR EVENT ROSTER ASAP. NO EXCEPTIONS.
