Job Overview
Key Responsibilities
Cooking & Recipe Execution
- Cook menu items according to Cloud Naan’s standardized recipes and techniques
- Operate ovens, griddle , fryer, and other kitchen equipment safely and accurately
- Maintain consistency in taste, texture, and presentation
- Comfortable running multiple stations (griddle, oven, prep, fryers, stoves/burners) and switching between them smoothly during peak service
Prep & Production
- Chop vegetables, cut meats, prepare dough items, and handle marinades
- Follow proper thawing, storage, and portioning methods
- Complete daily prep lists and maintain par levels
Inventory & Kitchen Organization
- Assist in counting inventory and communicating shortages
- Rotate stock using FIFO and maintain organized storage areas
- Receive deliveries when needed and verify product quality
Food Safety & Cleanliness
- Follow all food safety protocols (time/temperature, sanitation, cross-contamination prevention)
- Maintain a clean workstation throughout service
- Support the team during inspections and uphold Cloud Naan quality standards
Teamwork & Kitchen Support
- Work efficiently during peak hours
- Communicate effectively with the Head Chef and teammates
- Be reliable, punctual, and committed to a high-performance kitchen environment
Preferred Requirements
- 1–2 years of experience working in a restaurant kitchen (line cook, prep cook, or similar)
- Must know basic cooking techniques (sautéing, grilling, baking, frying, braising)
- Ability to prep ingredients and cut vegetables/meat confidently
- Strong recipe-following skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures
- Ability to lift 30–40 lbs, stand for long periods, and work in a fast-paced setting
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with South Asian or fusion concepts
- Familiarity with Rational or similar advanced cooking equipment
- Basic understanding of inventory and prep planning
- Food Handler Certification (or willingness to obtain before starting)
Compensation
