Job Description: Bartender

Location: The Edge Seafood Restaurant and Skybar, Destin, FL

Position Type: Full-Time/Part-Time

Reports To: Bar Manager/MOD

Key Responsibilities

Guest Service

 Greet guests with a friendly, professional demeanor and provide attentive service

throughout their visit.

 Make drink recommendations and offer expert knowledge of cocktail ingredients, beer,

wine, and spirits.

 Create a personalized experience for guests, engaging in conversation and responding to

special requests.

Bar Operations

 Prepare and serve a wide range of beverages, including signature cocktails, quickly and

accurately.

 Follow all recipes and portion controls to ensure consistent quality and minimize waste.

 Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar, including stocking supplies, washing

glassware, and setting up/breaking down stations.

 Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and responsibly, following proper

procedures.

Team Collaboration

 Work closely with barbacks, servers, and other bartenders to ensure smooth service flow.

 Communicate effectively with management and kitchen staff regarding any guest

concerns or special orders.

 Assist in training new bartenders or barbacks as needed.

 Other duties as assigned by Management.

Qualifications

 Experience: 1-2 years of bartending experience in a high-volume setting is strongly

preferred.

 Skills:

o Strong mixology skills with knowledge of classic and modern cocktails.

o Excellent communication and multitasking abilities.

o Ability to stay calm and efficient under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

 Knowledge: Familiarity with liquor laws, health and safety regulations, and responsible

alcohol service.

 Physical Demands: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and move

between multiple levels of the restaurant as needed.

 Availability: Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
