Qargo Coffee is an Italian espresso and pastry cafe at 707 E Ocean Blvd in downtown Long Beach. We're hiring an afternoon barista to keep the cafe running smoothly and close it out right. Great fit for students: short, predictable shifts.

Schedule: 1:30 PM to 5:30 PM (we close at 5:00 PM, then 30 minutes of cleaning). Weekdays and some weekends. Part-time, about 12-20 hours per week.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Make espresso drinks and serve pastries to Qargo standards

• Handle DoorDash and online orders quickly and accurately

• Prep for tomorrow: cold brew, thaw pull, restocking

• Close the store: clean the espresso machine, grinders, case and cafe, and log food safety checks on our store tablet

• Keep guests happy and the cafe spotless

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Dependable and on time

• Friendly, upbeat and self-motivated

• Barista or food service experience a plus; we'll train you

• California Food Handler card (or get one within 30 days)

• Able to stand for your shift and lift up to 25 lbs
