Blue Rock is currently accepting applications for Servers & Bartenders.
Essential Functions:
· Greet all guests with a genuinely friendly disposition
· Assemble/dismantle workstation
· Serve beverages and food to all bar guests within FBRM time specifications and standards of quality
· Prepare all beverage orders placed by the service staff after verifying items have been properly rung up on the point-of-sale system
· Wash and maintain glassware
· Maintain adequate levels of ice for drink preparations
· Utilize point-of-sale system to record all drink orders
· Collect money for all drink and food orders
· Handle all cash and credit card transactions according to FBRM’s procedures
· Observe all state and federal laws regarding the service of alcohol
· Replace beer kegs and CO2 (lift 50 lbs.)
· Maintain records of all spills and PR comps
· Empty all bar trash
· Sweep and mop bar floor
· Knowledge of federal, state and local laws, ordinances and regulations and policies regarding serving alcohol to minors and intoxicated patrons.
Requirements:

  • Extensive Food, Beer, Wine, Liquor knowledge
  • A positive attitude and enthusiasm for hospitality.
  • Basic computer skills
  • Must be able to taste food & beverage offerings in order to know flavor profile, learn, understand, sell and support preparation of items as necessary for role
  • Ability to personalize guest experience by describing all menu items, prices and methods of preparation to encourage the guests to choose menu items
  • Ability to exert moderate physical effort, including standing, carrying, bending, stretching, stooping, pulling, pushing, and lifting of weight of up to 50 pounds, repeatedly.
  • Must be able work on your feet for up to 8 consecutive hours and carry supplies up and down stairs without difficulty.
  • High personal standards in regard to professionalism, attire and grooming.
  • Ability and willingness to treat others with kindness and respect in an environment free of harassment and discrimination.

· Friendly and respectful communication with co-workers, manager(s), and guests
· Proven effective time management skills and excellent attendance record
