Job Overview
We are looking for a Shift Manager to oversee all restaurant operations. Shift Manager responsibilities include working alongside other managers, delegating tasks to restaurant staff, addressing guest queries and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. If you have excellent organizational and team management skills and experience in the food industry, we’d like to meet with you. Ultimately, you will help us create a positive and memorable dining experience for our guests and increase our profitability.
Responsibilities
- Delegate tasks to crew members and supervise their performance.
- Responsible for leading the restaurant team in providing engaging service of quality food and beverages to guests in a clean comfortable environment.
- Assists in crew member selection, training, enforcement of policies and procedures, performance management, development, and team building
- Help Crew Members resolve on-the-job challenges
- Performs daily workstation assignments along with supervisory duties
- Balance the cash register at the end of the shift
- Assist in motivating crew members to meet organizational and operational objectives.
- Recognizes crew members for group and individual accomplishments
- Ensure client satisfaction and gracefully handle any complaints
- Open or close the restaurant (when responsible for the first or last shift)
- Inform the next Shift Manager about pending tasks
- Report maintenance and training needs.
- Manage labor costs
Skills Required
- Proven experience as a Shift Manager or relevant role in a restaurant
- Good knowledge of restaurant operations (like managing work loads and p.o.s. systems)
- Ability to work 40 hours per week including holidays ( We are open Memorial Day, July 4th, and Labor day.
- Ability to lift 40lbs.
- Availability to work different shifts, including weekends and nights
- A customer service approach with the ability to manage customer complaints professionally
- Excellent organization skills
