Assistant Manager
Job Purpose: To assist General Manager in daily operations of restaurant ensuring exceptional service, the highest quality of products, and profitability to ultimately create a unique and enjoyable experience for members, guests and team members.
Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with General Manager to hire, train, and manage servers and hosts
  • Including meeting with employees through planned meetings, reviews, and daily one-on-ones
  • Run front of house shifts, assisting and guiding staff to deal with issues and complaints to ensure member/guest experience expectations are exceeded
  • Ensure proper steps of service are followed by all front of house team members
  • Comply with all local, state, and federal laws, including but not limited to:
  • Completion of ServSafe® training and Ward County food safety certification for self and all team members
  • Enforcement of alcohol responsibility policy
  • Meet or exceed cost of goods goals for beverage and food programs by:
  • Practicing and ensuring compliance to drink specifications
  • Ensuring that all services delivered within the bar and dining room are being charged for correctly
  • Ensuring all deliveries are checked in correctly, that all relevant delivery dockets/ invoices are correct, and invoices filed appropriately
  • Ensuring all food served has a ticket, including ringing in re-made items
  • Purchase paper products and first aid supplies as needed
  • Meet labor budgets through effective scheduling and monitoring floor coverage for hosts and servers
  • General maintenance and cleanliness of front of house, through use of daily and weekly cleaning schedules
  • Weekly communication and reporting to General Manger
  • POS programming and maintenance

Requirements:

  • Previous serving and management / supervisory experience
  • 50 hours per week, including nights and weekends
  • Standing extended periods of time / entire shift
  • Ability frequently to bend, reach, lift 50 - 100 lbs.
