Job Overview

The Bartender is an ambassador of hospitality, responsible for delivering an exceptional beverage experience that complements the refined French-American cuisine of Forke Restaurant. This position requires creativity, precision, and a strong sense of showmanship, particularly within our intimate speakeasy lounge, where craft cocktails are part of the guest experience.

Responsibilities 

  • Prepare and serve a full range of classic and signature cocktails, wine, and spirits with consistency and elegance.
  • Engage guests with professional and personable service, creating an atmosphere of sophistication and warmth both at the bar and in the speakeasy.
  • Curate recommendations for cocktails, wines, and spirits, highlighting seasonal ingredients and French-American influences.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar, glassware, and storage areas in compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Monitor guest consumption to ensure responsible service of alcohol and compliance with all Nevada liquor laws.
  • Collaborate with the culinary and management team to design and execute beverage pairings and new cocktail programs that align with the restaurant’s identity.
  • Handle cash and POS transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Assist with inventory management, stock rotation, and requisition of bar supplies.
  • Uphold the Forke brand values of quality, professionalism, and genuine hospitality at all times.

Skills 

  • Minimum 2 years of bartending experience in upscale or craft cocktail environments (speakeasy or fine dining experience preferred).
  • Solid knowledge of classic cocktails, mixology techniques, and bar presentation.
  • Understanding of wine and spirits, particularly French and American selections.
  • Excellent communication, multitasking, and guest engagement skills.
  • Ability to work late-night hours and maintain composure in a fast-paced setting.
  • Nevada Alcohol Awareness (TAM/Alcohol Card) and Health/Sanitation Card required.
  • Passion for hospitality, creativity, and continuous learning in the art of mixology.
