Mixologist/Bartender Job Responsibilities:
Maintaining a passion for creating extraordinary cocktails and American Standard Classics.
Taking inventory and preparing station to ensure a well-stocked bar.
Serves patrons with food, beverages, and hookah in a positive and friendly manner.
Provides information to help food, beverages and hookah selections.
Presents ordered choices in a prompt and efficient manner.
Maintains bar ambiance with an enthusiastic attitude.
Protects establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies.
Helps patrons select food and beverages by suggesting selections, explaining our specialties, identifying appropriate beverage pairings, and answering food, beverage and hookah preparation questions.
Responds to additional patron requirements by inquiring of needs and observing dining process.
Maintains bar setting by removing courses as completed, replenishing utensils, refilling glasses, and being alert to patron spills or other special needs.
Concludes dining experience by acknowledging choice of restaurant and inviting patrons to return.
Obtains revenues by totaling charges, issuing bills, accepting payments, delivering bills and payments to host, and returning change or credit card and signature slip to patrons.
Checking identification to ensure customers are of legal age to purchase alcohol.
Knowledgeable about responsible and safe serving of alcohol for the prevention of intoxication and underage drinking.
This position will also involve serving tables and the candidate will be well versed at both bartending and serving. Harlem Hookah requires flexible availability as we do not assign a set schedule. Our operating hours are 5 days per week and include brunch shifts, late night shifts, and holiday shifts. All employees are provided with uniforms and discounted shift meals.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
High school diploma
3-5 years bartender experience
Bartending school graduate a plus
New York eTips certification a plus
NYC Food handler’s certification a plus
