Red Pepper Taqueria is excited to announce the opening of a new position, Catering Manager.
This position would work directly with me to build a strong catering platform. Training will be provided, but the ideal candidate must be ready to develop quickly, and also learn as we go. As mentioned, this is a brand-new position, and we will learn as we go.
Requirements:

  • This is a multi-unit opportunity. 75% travel would be the immediate anticipated requirement
  • Must possess a valid driver's license
  • Previous proven sales experience will be weighed heavily. Catering experience is a plus
  • Must be a self-starter and able to work independently
  • Always maintain a professional appearance and communication style

Nice to have:

  • Experience in working in a cross-functional workspace including marketing and operations.
  • Knowledge of Red Pepper Taqueria food and beverage
  • Working knowledge of Toast, Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Possess own personal computer

A catering manager is responsible for:

  • Planning and managing catered events
  • Quickly respond to all catering inquiries
  • Generate own leads through in-person visits, cold-calls, internet searches
  • Consulting with customers to determine their catering requirements
  • Planning food and beverage menus
  • Coordinating food preparation and serving during events
  • Complying with safety standards
  • Maintaining an inventory of smallware needed to execute events
  • Arranging transportation for food and catering equipment. If needed

Compensation

  • This is a commission-based position
  • Salary is commensurate with experience
  • 35 to 40-hour work week. Schedule is determined by the needs of booked events. The ideal candidate will have full availability including nights and weekends
