Summary:
A Line Cook at The Pig & Pint is responsible for accurately and efficiently preparing hot and cold food items, properly portioning ingredients before cooking, and assisting with final plate presentation, including plating and garnishing.

Qualifications:
- Previous experience in kitchen preparation and cooking is required.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with Managers, BOH, and FOH Team Members.
- Proficiency in reading, speaking, and understanding English.
- Ability to initiate and maintain professional and friendly conversations.
- Ability to follow printed recipes and plating specifications.
- Professional appearance that is appealing and approachable to internal and external guests.
- Must have flexible availability
- Strong problem-solving skills to define issues, gather information, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assumes 100% responsibility for the quality of products served.
- Ability to recognize and adapt to the flow of business.
- Stocks and maintains sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure a smooth service period.
- Knows and complies consistently with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, and kitchen rules, policies, and procedures.
- Maintains a clean and sanitary work station area including tables, shelves, fryers, sauté burners, convection oven, flat top range, and refrigeration equipment.
- Handles, stores, and rotates all products properly.
- Assists in food prep assignments during off-peak periods as needed.
- Closes the kitchen properly and follows the closing checklist for kitchen stations. Assists others in closing the kitchen.
- Attends all scheduled employee meetings and brings suggestions for improvement.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
Physical Demands
- Must be able to lift heavy objects above shoulder level
- When performing the duties of this job, a Line Cook will be required to be continually walking, standing, and using their hands.
Work Environment
- The work environment is consistently wet, hot, and noisy.
- The work environment is stressful due to our guests' expectations, attention to detail, and the volume of business.
