We are currently seeking Housekeeping Room Attendants to join our team. Both part-time and full-time positions are available for the right candidates.

Position Overview

Room Attendants are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and overall presentation of guest rooms and public areas in accordance with hotel standards, policies, and procedures. This role plays a key part in ensuring a positive guest experience by delivering high-quality service and responding to guest needs with professionalism and care.
Room Attendants will also communicate any maintenance concerns or room deficiencies to the appropriate departments.

Qualifications

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Ability to follow instructions and direction from supervisors
  • Basic written and verbal communication skills
  • Previous housekeeping experience is an asset; however, training will be provided to the right candidate
  • Must be able to provide a criminal background check
  • WHMIS and/or First Aid certification is an asset

Physical & Environmental Requirements

  • Physically capable of lifting, stretching, bending, kneeling, and climbing stairs
  • Occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions (heat, rain, snow) when servicing exterior rooms
  • Regular exposure to cleaning chemicals (e.g., disinfectants, glass cleaners, furniture polish, carpet cleaners)

Key Responsibilities

  • Prioritize and complete room assignments efficiently to meet check-in deadlines
  • Clean and maintain guest rooms and hallways, including vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces
  • Follow all lost and found procedures as established by management
  • Adhere to all hotel policies, procedures, and safety standards

Room Cleaning Duties include (but are not limited to):

  • Removing garbage and used linens
  • Making beds
  • Cleaning and disinfecting bathrooms (tubs, toilets, sinks, Jacuzzi/whirlpool tubs)
  • Dusting all furniture and fixtures
  • Restocking amenities (towels, coffee, tea, toiletries, etc.)
  • Cleaning coffee stations
  • Vacuuming and washing floors
  • Cleaning mirrors and windows

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Maintain an organized housekeeping cart and storage areas
  • Monitor and report in-room beverage inventory
  • Complete deep cleaning and special projects as assigned
  • Maintain cleanliness in public areas and hallways
  • Participate in daily team meetings
  • Follow all health, safety, and emergency procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned
