Job Overview

ABOUT TURBO SPORTS AND PERFORMANCE CENTRE CORP.

Turbo Sports and Performance Centre Corp. is the first consolidated multi-use indoor sports facility in the Southern Georgian Bay corridor. Opening November 2026 at 140 Mountain Road, Collingwood, Turbo brings together a FIFA-certified indoor field, performance training, studio programming, leagues, and community events under one roof built for the people who live here year-round.

This is a community that has always punched above its weight when it comes to sport and movement. What it has never had is a facility built to match it. We’re changing that and we need the right people on the floor to make it feel the way it should.

THE ROLE

A facility like Turbo doesn’t run on autopilot. Behind every league night, every clean field turnover, every member who walks in and feels like someone’s actually paying attention, there’s a person making that happen. That’s you.

This is a part-time, hands-on role that puts you at the centre of everything Turbo does, from facility setup and front desk operations to league support, content capture, and customer service. Your shift might start with resetting a field and end with helping a new member find their first drop-in session. No two days look the same, and that’s the point. You’ll also get direct exposure to how a sports brand operates, marketing, event production, community programming, social media working alongside the team building it.

This role reports to the Facility Manager during daytime shifts and the League and Program Coordinator during evening and weekend shifts. Shifts are built around the facility’s programming calendar and peak hours, evenings and weekends are when the building is busiest and when we need the most support. It’s a strong fit for students and young adults, but the schedule is driven by operations, not the other way around.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Execute facility opening and closing checklists, including lights, sound, HVAC, safety walks, and securing the building.
  • Set up and tear down field, studio, and mezzanine spaces between bookings — nets, equipment, signage, and general space readiness.
  • Maintain facility cleanliness across all spaces: field, studios, washrooms, common areas, mezzanine, and vendor booth areas.
  • Manage equipment inventory: ball bins, bibs, first aid supplies, lost and found, and general equipment condition checks.
  • Operate front desk: member and guest check-in, phone and email triage, wayfinding, and general customer service inquiries in person and digitally.
  • Support league night and event operations: player check-in, scorekeeping support, ref coordination, and post-game logistics.
  • Capture photo and video content during shifts to support Turbo’s social media presence league games, facility life, events, and community moments.
  • Respond to social media and customer service inquiries when on shift, flagging anything that needs escalation to the Facility Manager or marketing team.
  • Log incidents, maintenance issues, and safety concerns in the shift log so nothing falls through the cracks between handoffs.
  • Manage exterior presence during shifts: sandwich boards, parking lot signage, and seasonal upkeep checks.
  • Be the face of Turbo on the floor, help members discover what else the facility offers beyond the space they walked in for. Cross-discovery is part of the job.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • You like being around sport and movement. You don’t need to be an athlete, you need to care about the environment athletes train and play in.
  • 16 years of age or older. No prior experience required, we'll train you on everything. What we can’t train is showing up on time and giving a damn.
  • Available for evening and weekend shifts. The facility’s schedule comes first if you can’t work when the building is busiest, this isn’t the right fit.
  • Comfortable talking to people. You’ll interact with members, parents, coaches, and rental clients on every shift. Friendly and unflappable beats polished and rehearsed.
  • Comfortable with a phone camera. You don’t need to be a content creator, you need to recognise a moment worth capturing and grab it.
  • Physically capable of being on your feet for full shifts, lifting equipment, and moving between spaces quickly.
  • Reliable. Full stop. A facility that runs 6 AM to midnight needs people who show up when they say they will.

WHAT WE OFFER

  • $18.50/hour with 10–20 hours per week. Shifts are based on facility programming and peak operating hours.
  • Free gym membership to the facility which includes access to drop in sports, classes and open gym
  • 15% off apparel and merchandise (turbo only), including a friends and family discount.
  • Real exposure to sports marketing, content creation, event operations, and facility management not busy work. You’ll work alongside the people building this brand and learn how a sports business actually runs from the ground up.
  • A team that actually likes being here and a workplace that feels like the community it serves.
  • Growth opportunity. People who show up and own their shifts earn more responsibility, more hours, and a real path forward as the facility grows.
