Responsibilities

  • Wash all sliver, plate ware, pots pans and cooking utensils for the restaurant.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Work well as a member of a team in order to provide excellent service in an midscale work environment.
  • Be flexible and willing to perform some minor food preparation tasks along with dishwashing duties.
  • Cleanliness and organization is KEY.
  • Run the dishwashing machine routinely, mop the kitchen floor, and bus tables if needed.
  • Adhere to hygiene and food safety guidelines at all times.

Skills

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds several times a day.
  • Ability to place cases, pans, utensils and plates on both low and high shelves.
  • Ability to work in hot and damp environments.
  • Ability to respond to emergency situations to avoid endangering themselves or others.
  • Ability to work in a sense of urgency.
  • Ability to produce quality and yet be efficient.
