Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Janitor & Maintenance Technician to help maintain both of our locations.

This position is responsible for daily and deep cleaning, general building maintenance, preventative maintenance, minor repairs, and ensuring our facilities remain clean, functional, safe, and welcoming for our employees and guests.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter who takes pride in their work, notices the little things, and understands that maintaining our facilities is an important part of the overall guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

Janitorial & Cleaning Duties

  • Perform routine cleaning and deep cleaning throughout both facilities.

  • Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, floors, walls, and fixtures.

  • Sweep, mop, scrub, and maintain floors throughout the buildings.

  • Clean windows, glass doors, entryways, and high-touch surfaces.

  • Maintain clean and organized storage areas, utility rooms, and employee spaces.

  • Remove trash, recycling, and debris; maintain cleanliness around dumpsters and waste disposal areas.

  • Perform periodic cleaning of walls, baseboards, vents, light fixtures, and hard-to-reach areas.

  • Clean outdoor areas, patios, sidewalks, and building entrances.

  • Assist with scheduled deep cleaning projects in kitchen, dining, and production areas.

  • Ensure cleaning chemicals, equipment, and supplies are stored and used properly.

  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety requirements.

General Maintenance & Repairs

  • Perform basic repairs and maintenance throughout both properties.

  • Identify and address minor plumbing issues, including leaking faucets, clogged drains, and running toilets.

  • Repair or replace minor hardware, door handles, hinges, fixtures, and other building components.

  • Perform minor painting, patching, caulking, and cosmetic repairs.

  • Assemble, install, and maintain furniture, shelving, and other fixtures.

  • Replace accessible light bulbs and perform basic lighting maintenance.

  • Inspect and maintain doors, locks, windows, and other facility features.

  • Assist with basic troubleshooting of equipment and coordinate with management when professional repairs are needed.

  • Report maintenance issues promptly and follow through to ensure they are resolved.

  • Work within training and authorization limits; refer electrical, refrigeration, gas, and other specialized repairs to qualified professionals.

Preventative Maintenance

  • Complete assigned daily, weekly, monthly, and seasonal maintenance checklists.

  • Conduct routine facility inspections to identify potential issues before they become costly repairs.

  • Help maintain HVAC filters and accessible ventilation components as assigned.

  • Monitor plumbing fixtures, drains, and other building systems for potential problems.

  • Maintain tools, cleaning equipment, and maintenance supplies in good working condition.

  • Track maintenance needs and communicate upcoming repairs or replacement recommendations to management.

  • Help reduce equipment downtime through proactive care and preventative maintenance.

Grounds & Exterior Maintenance

  • Keep sidewalks, entrances, patios, and surrounding areas clean and presentable.

  • Remove litter, leaves, weeds, and other debris.

  • Maintain outdoor furniture and fixtures.

  • Assist with pressure washing and seasonal exterior cleaning.

  • Identify exterior hazards or property damage and report concerns promptly.

Team Support & Communication

  • Work collaboratively with management and team members at both locations.

  • Respond to maintenance and cleaning requests in a timely, professional manner.

  • Communicate completed projects, outstanding issues, and supply needs.

  • Prioritize urgent safety concerns and operational needs.

  • Help prepare facilities for special events, seasonal changes, and high-volume business periods.

  • Maintain organized records of completed maintenance tasks and inspections.

Qualifications & Skills

Required:

  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities.

  • Basic knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation, and safe chemical handling.

  • General handyman skills and familiarity with common tools.

  • Ability to recognize maintenance issues and determine when additional assistance is needed.

  • Strong time-management and organizational skills.

  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with management and team members.

  • Willingness to work at both business locations.

Preferred:

  • Previous janitorial, custodial, facilities, or general maintenance experience.

  • Experience working in restaurants, breweries, commercial kitchens, or other hospitality environments.

  • Familiarity with preventative maintenance procedures.

  • Basic plumbing, carpentry, painting, and equipment troubleshooting experience.

  • Experience using maintenance checklists or digital task-management systems.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, and perform physical tasks throughout a shift.

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Ability to safely use ladders, hand tools, and cleaning equipment.

  • Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments, including wet or slippery areas.

  • Ability to perform repetitive cleaning and maintenance tasks.
