About Us:
We are a prominent event venue in Manhattan, hosting a wide range of high-profile events, from corporate gatherings to weddings and social celebrations. We are seeking experienced and professional Event Security personnel to ensure the safety and security of our guests and venue during scheduled events.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a visible and professional security presence during events to ensure the safety of guests, staff, and the venue.
- Monitor event entrances and exits, verifying guest lists, checking IDs, and ensuring only authorized individuals enter the premises.
- Conduct security screenings and bag checks as necessary, following all state and venue protocols.
- Patrol the venue to ensure safety, prevent disturbances, and address any suspicious activity.
- Handle crowd control, manage entry points, and assist with ensuring safe and orderly event operations.
- Respond swiftly and professionally to any emergencies, security threats, or incidents that arise.
- Assist guests with security-related concerns or questions.
- Coordinate with event staff and venue management to address and de-escalate potential issues.
- Ensure compliance with all state and local laws, including alcohol consumption regulations and capacity limits.
- Complete incident reports and maintain detailed logs of any security-related events.
Requirements (New York State Security Standards):

New York State Security Guard License: Must hold a valid NYS Security Guard License, as required by New York law.8-Hour Pre-Assignment Training Course: Must have completed this course, which is required before applying for the Security Guard License.
16-Hour On-the-Job Training Course: Required within 90 days of employment.
Annual 8-Hour In-Service Training Course: Required every year to maintain the security guard license. - High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- At Least 18 Years of Age: Per New York State requirements.
- CPR/First Aid Certification is preferred.
- Strong Communication Skills: Ability to interact professionally with guests, staff, and law enforcement if necessary.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds as needed.
- Attention to Detail: Must be alert and able to identify potential security risks.
- Calm Under Pressure: Ability to remain professional and composed in high-stress or emergency situations.
- Experience: Prior experience in event security or a similar role is preferred.
