Job Responsibilities

  1. Food PreparationPrepare ingredients for menu items, such as chopping vegetables, slicing meats, and portioning pasta.
    Follow recipes and restaurant guidelines for sauces, dressings, and marinades, such as tomato sauce, Alfredo sauce, or pesto.
    Prepare pizza dough, focaccia, or other baked items when required.
  2. Kitchen OrganizationMaintain a clean and organized workspace.
    Set up and stock prep stations with necessary supplies, including fresh herbs, spices, and Italian staples like olive oil and garlic.
  3. Assisting in Cooking TasksAssist line cooks and chefs by pre-portioning or par-cooking items like pasta or proteins.
    Prepare salads, appetizers, and antipasti, such as bruschetta or caprese salad.
  4. Food Safety and SanitationFollow proper food safety protocols, including handling raw ingredients and storing perishable items at appropriate temperatures.
    Clean and sanitize tools, equipment, and prep areas regularly to meet health regulations.
  5. Inventory and SuppliesMonitor inventory levels of essential ingredients and notify supervisors when supplies are low.
    Assist with receiving and properly storing deliveries of fresh and dry goods.
  6. Team CollaborationCommunicate with chefs and other kitchen staff to ensure smooth workflow.
    Adapt to last-minute menu changes or additional prep tasks as directed.
