ABOUT THE ROLE
Greenside Restaurant is looking for an experienced Breakfast Cook/Manager to own our morning kitchen operations from start to finish and contribute to our broader kitchen team throughout the week. This is both a hands-on cooking role and a leadership position, you'll be responsible for executing a high-quality breakfast service while supervising and motivating a small kitchen team. Your attention to detail, calm under pressure, and commitment to consistency will set the standard each morning.
RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead all aspects of breakfast prep, line execution, and service
  • Supervise and direct kitchen staff during morning shifts to ensure smooth, efficient operations
  • Maintain Greenside's standards of quality, presentation, and consistency on every plate
  • Execute opening procedures including mise en place, equipment checks, and station readiness
  • Monitor food inventory and communicate low-stock or ordering needs to management
  • Uphold all food safety, temperature, and sanitation standards
  • Mentor and support junior kitchen staff to build a cohesive, high-performing morning team

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3–5 years of kitchen experience, with demonstrated management or supervisory ability
  • Strong knowledge of scratch cooking, breakfast-specific techniques, and kitchen workflow
  • Proven ability to lead a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality
  • ServSafe certified or equivalent food safety knowledge
  • Availability on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday mornings is required; weekday availability for kitchen support shifts is essential for this full-time position
  • During weekday shifts, assist the Kitchen Manager/Chef with prep work, menu production, inventory projects, and other kitchen needs to support full-service operations
