spring brook deli looking for a barista to join our team in orange ct reporting directly to the Store Manager. We’re looking for a highly motivated and energetic individual who shares our passion for specialty coffee,and gourmet food and customer service.
Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare specialty coffee and espresso beverages, including latte art
  • Maintain beverage safety and cleanliness standards by completing delegated tasks
  • Have an open mind to learning new things and embracing change
  • Employees are required to complete any and all training material provided to ensure full understanding of our menu and deliver excellent customer service.
  • Ensure all items are dated and following First in First Out (FIFO) standards
  • Operate the POS system ensuring accuracy of cash drops and authenticity of bills
  • Consistently able to execute tasks with efficiency and grace while maintaining a sense of urgency throughout service
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned
    Physical Requirements
  • Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending, and squatting
  • Regularly lift and move up to 20 lbs (Coffee bags, milk crates, paper goods, etc.)
  • Must be able to work all operational hours
  • Fast-paced movements are required to go from one part of the space to others
    Qualifications
  • Knowledgeable and enthusiastic about coffee, food , and drink preparation
  • Outstanding communication and guest service skills
  • 1+ year barista experience on an espresso machine preferred
  • Good problem-solving techniques and ability to do so with pace, empathy, and sometimes under pressure
  • Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations and follow directions for all production
  • Must be able to provide proof of the right to live and work in the USA
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
