Job Overview

We are seeking a proactive and skilled Cloud Engineer to design, architect, and manage our cloud infrastructure and services. In this role, you will be responsible for deploying secure cloud environments, optimizing resource usage, and ensuring seamless scalability across our cloud systems. You will work closely with DevOps teams, systems engineers, and software developers to build reliable, high-availability cloud solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Cloud Infrastructure Management: Provision, configure, and maintain cloud infrastructure (using AWS, Azure, or GCP) following best practices for performance and cost efficiency.
  • Automation & IaC: Write and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) scripts using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible to automate deployment workflows.
  • Security & Compliance: Enforce cloud security policies, Identity and Access Management (IAM) controls, data encryption, and network security protocols.
  • Monitoring & Cost Optimization: Monitor cloud system health, resource utilization, and application performance; optimize cloud spend through rightsizing and architecture adjustments.
  • CI/CD Pipeline Integration: Collaborate with development teams to integrate cloud resources into automated continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Disaster Recovery & Backup: Implement and maintain robust backup, disaster recovery, and failover strategies across cloud environments.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Cloud Platforms: Hands-on experience with major cloud service providers (AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Proficiency with Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar infrastructure provisioning tools.
  • Containerization & Orchestration: Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes for container deployment and management.
  • Networking & Security: Strong understanding of cloud networking concepts (VPCs, VPNs, subnets, DNS, load balancers, and firewalls).
  • Scripting Languages: Proficiency in Bash, Python, or PowerShell for system administration and task automation.
  • Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required (Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred); 2–4+ years of cloud engineering or systems administration experience.
