Server

Bricolage is a long-established Park Slope neighborhood restaurant known for its Vietnamese-French cuisine and craft cocktails, located in a beautiful artist-designed space.

We value professionalism, reliability, and hospitality professionals who take pride in creating a thoughtful and attentive guest experience. As a neighborhood restaurant with many returning guests, we place a strong emphasis on warm hospitality, consistency, and strong menu knowledge.

We are seeking experienced servers who are comfortable guiding guests through both the food and beverage menu and who enjoy engaging with guests to create a memorable dining experience.

Our team works collaboratively across roles, and servers should also be comfortable assisting with hosting, running food, and general service support when needed.

At least 2 years similar restaurant experience required.
NYC full-service restaurant experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• provide knowledgeable, friendly, efficient, and thoughtful service
• develop strong knowledge of the food menu, cocktails, wine, and ingredients
• confidently guide guests through the menu and make thoughtful recommendations
• suggest pairings and upsell naturally when appropriate
• carefully communicate allergies and dietary restrictions to the kitchen
• ensure accuracy of orders and guest requests
• maintain strong awareness of guest experience throughout the meal
• anticipate guest needs and respond quickly and thoughtfully
• communicate clearly with kitchen and service team to maintain smooth service flow
• assist with running food and maintaining the dining room
• assist with hosting duties when needed
• support team members to ensure a great guest experience before, during, and after service
• assist with opening and closing duties
• maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming service environment
• communicate guest concerns or issues to management
• maintain proper attire and appearance
• be punctual and able to reliably commute to the restaurant

Skills and Requirements

• strong hospitality instincts and guest awareness
• excellent menu knowledge and ability to discuss dishes and drinks with guests
• attention to detail, especially regarding allergies and dietary restrictions
• comfort making recommendations and upselling when appropriate
• ability to maintain composure in a fast-paced service environment
• multitasking and organizational skills
• willingness to collaborate across roles
• familiarity with POS systems and reservation platforms (Resy a plus)
• reliability, professionalism, and strong work ethic
• flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
