Crave is a vibrant, fast-paced start-up restaurant located in the heart of downtown Greenville, South Carolina. Our goal is to provide exceptional dining experiences with a focus on delicious food, friendly service, and a lively atmosphere. The Executive Chef is a renowned celebrity chef who was featured on the popular TV show 'Hell's Kitchen’.
Position Summary
As a Crave member, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring our guests have a memorable dining experience. You'll be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and providing attentive and courteous service.
Key Responsibilities

  • Safety: Always putting safety first in every aspect. Maintaining a clean and safe environment at all times.
  • Guest Service: Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Order Taking: Accurately take and input customer orders, ensuring clarity and accuracy. Answer questions or make recommendations for complementary products.
  • Food Service: Present food and beverages in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring proper presentation and temperature.
  • Table Management: Maintain clean and organized tables, clearing dishes and resetting for the next seating.
  • Cash Handling: Accurately handle cash and credit card transactions, following established procedures.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operations and provide exceptional service.
  • Food Preparation: Prepare ingredients, such as chopping, slicing, and mixing, according to recipes and specifications.
  • Cooking: Cook food items, such as meats, vegetables, and sauces, using various cooking techniques, including grilling, sautéing, and frying.
  • Dishwashing: Wash dishes, glassware, and silverware using proper cleaning procedures and detergents.
  • Sanitation: Ensure all dishes and equipment are thoroughly sanitized to meet health and safety standards.
  • Other Duties: Completing other duties as assigned. Always eliminating waste and function in a continuous improvement mindset. Cleaning duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Previous experience in the food service industry and customer service is preferred.
  • Positive Attitude: Enthusiastic and outgoing personality with a passion for providing excellent customer service.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous and organized with a commitment to accuracy.
  • Time Management: Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical Fitness: Ability to stand for long periods and safely lift heavy objects up to 50 pounds.
