**Role Summary:**Fancy's is seeking a sharp, detail-oriented Expo to serve as the critical link between the kitchen and the floor. The Expo ensures that every dish leaving the kitchen meets Fancy's standards for presentation, accuracy, and timing before it reaches the guest. This role requires someone who communicates clearly, moves efficiently, and holds the line on quality during the highest-pressure moments of service.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect every dish before it leaves the kitchen for accuracy, presentation, and portion consistency.
- Coordinate ticket flow between the kitchen and the floor team to ensure proper pacing and timing.
- Communicate clearly and efficiently with cooks, servers, and the Floor Manager throughout service.
- Ensure all plates are garnished, wiped, and guest-ready before they leave the pass.
- Flag and resolve any discrepancies between tickets and prepared dishes before they reach the table.
- Assist with food running during high-volume periods as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the expo station throughout the shift.
- Attend pre-shift meetings and stay informed on menu updates, specials, and any allergy or dietary notes for the evening.
- Perform opening and closing duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Valid Texas Food Handler certification required.
- Prior experience in a kitchen or front of house role in an upscale or high-volume setting preferred.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to maintain quality standards under pressure.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to operate as a calm, steady presence during peak service.
- Must be able to stand for the duration of a shift, up to 8 hours, with frequent bending, squatting, and lifting up to 30 lbs.
- Reliable, punctual, and consistent on every shift.
- Evening and weekend availability required.
