Job Overview

The Sommelier’s job is to create and execute meaningful customized experiences as it relates to the Wolffer Estate Wine Portfolio. Experiences range from a paired four-course wine & food tasting menu to private pergola and cellar experiences.
Skills & Requirements

  • At least 2 years related experience as a Sommelier or similar wine-focused position
  • Strong knowledge of Wine / Food
  • Must have strong understanding of wine floor service
  • Meticulous attention to small details
  • Excellent communication & guest relations skills
  • Fine dining or high-volume restaurant preferred
  • An enthusiasm to further grow and refine as a Sommelier with our team!
  • No certification required
  • This is an hourly position and a member of the tip pool.
  • Must live local. No staff housing available.

Responsibilities but not limited to

  • Execute table service from start to finish on customized experiences
  • Perform server responsibilities
  • Work service shifts assisting guests with wine selections as well as assisting the service staff with wine service
  • Work closely with Hospitality Director to manage wine cost
  • Communicate effectively with management and staff all needs necessary to insure great guest service
  • Administrative tasks such as inventory, tastings and wine education for staff.
  • Maintenance of physical wine book
  • Setup and breakdown of wine station

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35.00 - $85.00 per hour
