Key Responsibilities:

  • Operations Management
    • Meet restaurant financial objectives by monitoring labor, sales, and spending
    • Conduct scheduling for all assigned Pizza Dive locations, maintaining adequate staffing levels according to projected sales (including backfilling shifts as required to ensure smooth operation)
    • Compile inventory and order/deliver all food and supplies required for operation
    • Reconcile and deposit Cash Sales and Cash Tips
    • Manage and improve restaurant operations and procedures
    • Create and test new products to maintain menu freshness
    • Provide and execute innovative solutions to issues (e.g., sales decline, employee conflicts, supply cost increases, etc.)
    • Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy facility by establishing, following, and enforcing Food Safety standards and procedures
    • Equip restaurant and maintain all equipment and Pizza Dive facilities
    • Follow all federal, state, and local laws and regulations
  • Customer Relationship Management
    • Serve as the public face of Pizza Dive to local businesses, Chambers of Commerce, Schools, and community organizations (including attendance at Community Engagement events)
    • Attract patrons by developing and implementing marketing, advertising, and public and community programs
    • Build brand loyalty through consistently exceptional food and service
    • Use ethical business practices
  • Team Member Management
    • Recruit and retain customer-focused team members
    • Train team members to exceed customer expectations and consistently provide quality food and service in a safe and empathetic work environment
    • Set the standards of professional appearance, etiquette, and behavior
    • Send recurring announcements to and call/run meetings with Managers, Shift Leaders, and/or Team Members about processes, news and updates, special trainings, and other information as required
    • Retrain and course-correct insufficient Manager, Shift Leader, and/or Team Member performance, up to and including termination of employment
  • Other Duties as necessary for the successful daily operation of the restaurant

Job Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience as a Manager or General Manager in the restaurant industry
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and some holidays
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and customer service skills
  • Ability to manage a team and delegate tasks effectively
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Ability to multitask and handle a fast-paced work environment
  • Basic computer skills and experience with restaurant POS systems
  • Ability to work long hours during peak periods

Compensation and Benefits:

  • $55,000+ base salary plus monthly bonuses after training
    • Working hours as-required due to business needs, but no less than 40 total hours at designated work locations
  • Eligibility for benefits (such as health insurance, dental insurance, and 401k) upon the establishment of a Pizza Dive Benefit Program

Work Environment:

  • This job entails frequent exposure to high temperatures and extreme cold. There is frequent contact/immersion of hands in water and sanitation solutions; as well as contact with produce items, dairy products, and frequent allergen related items such as nuts, citrus, gluten, etc.

Physical Requirements:

  • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job:
  • Stand and walk for extended periods of time
  • Bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds, may be required to stock inventory and supplies
  • Have good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination, may be required to operate and use various kitchen equipment and tools
  • Ability to communicate and avoid dangerous situations
  • It is important that applicants are able to meet these physical requirements to perform the duties of the position. There is substantial repetitive motion of the wrists, hands, and fingers. Must be able to maneuver in walk-in coolers and freezers.
