Host Job Description:
When our guests walk through our doors, they expect personalized, professional service in an atmosphere of relaxed elegance, and that's exactly what we deliver.
· Greet incoming and departing Guests warmly with a genuine smile and eye contact; escort them to assigned dining area; present menus; announce server’s name
· Answer incoming calls to the restaurant and provide appropriate service
· Use Yelp Guest Manager to coordinate wait lists, reservations, private parties, server sections
· Work closely with management to give accurate wait times and accommodate large parties
· Assist with stocking and light cleaning of restrooms
· Sanitize all menus after guest use
· Maintain a clean, orderly, sanitary workspace
· Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
· Assists or completes other tasks as requested by management
· Must be available to work nights and weekends

Skills

· Preferred 1 year experience in fine dining & high-volume establishments
· Ability to communicate with teammates and management effectively
Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks
Ability to work with management staff and other employees in a professional manner
· Enthusiastic about hospitality, possesses an excellent work ethic and a positive attitude in a team. environment, and has an ability to learn new information quickly
· Ability to stand, walk, bend and kneel for up to 8 hours a day
· Be able to lift 30+lbs as needed
· Availability to work weekends and holidays
· Maintain a professional appearance
· Must have current California Food Handler Card or willingness and ability to obtain California Food Handling Card before first day of employment
