Overview:
Eiland Coffee at Canyon Creek is seeking a dedicated and experienced Coffee Shop Manager to oversee the daily operations of our bustling coffee shop. As a key member of our team, the Coffee Shop Manager will be responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service, managing staff, maintaining quality standards, and driving business growth.
Responsibilities:
1. Operational Management: Oversee all aspects of daily operations, including opening and closing procedures, inventory management, and equipment maintenance.
2. Staff Supervision: Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise a team of baristas and support staff, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
3. Customer Service: Foster a welcoming and friendly atmosphere for customers, resolve any issues or complaints promptly, and ensure that high-quality coffee and food products are consistently delivered.
4. Financial Management: Monitor sales performance, control costs, and implement strategies to maximize profitability.
5. Menu Development: Collaborate with the management team to develop and update the menu, incorporating seasonal offerings and customer preferences.
6. Quality Control: Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and food safety throughout the coffee shop.
7. Marketing and Promotion: Develop and execute marketing initiatives to attract new customers and retain existing ones, including social media engagement, promotional events, and loyalty programs.
8. Community Engagement: Cultivate positive relationships with the local community and seek opportunities for partnerships and collaboration.
9. Compliance: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as licensing requirements.
10. Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
1. Proven experience in a managerial role within the food and beverage industry, preferably in a coffee shop or similar environment.
2. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
3. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
4. Proficiency in basic accounting principles and experience with budget management.
5. Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and familiarity with specialty coffee trends is a plus.
6. Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
7. High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in hospitality management is preferred.
