Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Expeditor to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced upscale restaurant environment. The Expeditor plays a crucial role in ensuring that food orders are prepared accurately and delivered promptly to our guests. This position requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of food safety, and the ability to work collaboratively with kitchen staff and servers.

Duties

  • Coordinate the flow of food orders from the kitchen to the dining area, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Communicate effectively with cooks and servers to confirm order accuracy and address any special requests.
  • Assist in food preparation and handling, adhering to all food safety guidelines.
  • Monitor the quality of dishes before they leave the kitchen, ensuring presentation standards are met.
  • Help maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and service areas.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a upscale, high-volume restaurant required.
  • Strong communication skills to facilitate effective teamwork and guest interactions.
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • A willingness to assist with various tasks, including cooking when necessary, is highly valued.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including holidays and weekends.
