Monday is seeking a host with experience in a fast paced, high volume restaurant.
As host, you’re expected to always provide a warm, friendly and immediate greeting to all guests at the door and telephone. Assign and seat every guest in a strategic manner. Answers phone calls for guest reservations and enter the information into Open Table. Properly executes the Steps of Service.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Always presents positive and friendly first and last impression for all guests in both body language and phone conversations
  • Using the proper verbiage/language at the host stand to answer phones, take messages and book reservations in Open Table
  • Greeting and strategically seats guests (walk guests to their table) - manages guest flow
  • Working with the kitchen and management staff on restaurant flow
  • Working with management on smooth guest service
  • Welcoming guests as they arrive and thanking them as they leave
  • Assisting management and staff with private party set-up and ease of service
  • Assisting management with lights, music, temperature and general ambience
  • Keeping managers appraised of table status in the dining rooms
  • Promotes the importance of teamwork and maintaining an efficient work situation
  • Full understanding and execution of large party reservation policy and BEO inquiries
  • Effectively manages the wait list procedures
  • Demonstrates an understanding of the “five foot rule”
  • Knowledge of Monday’s menu and concept
  • Able to answer questions about ingredients and allergies, preparation, description of menu items
  • Knowledge of all table numbers and layouts
  • Respect for fellow employees and guests
  • Follow health and safety procedures laid out by management, city, state and federal requirements
  • Answers and enter take out/delivery calls when needed

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Open Table Experience
  • High Volume/Fast Paced Experience
  • Stands during the entire shift
  • Verbally communicates with guests both in person and on the phone during the entire shift
  • Walks the floor, upstairs and down
