As the face of Forke, the Host/Hostess plays a critical role in creating a seamless and elevated guest experience from arrival to departure.

Responsibilities 

  • Warmly welcome and acknowledge all guests upon arrival and departure
  • Manage reservations, walk-ins, and seating rotation efficiently
  • Maintain accurate wait times and communicate clearly with guests
  • Coordinate table flow with management and service team to optimize pacing
  • Answer phones professionally and manage guest inquiries
  • Handle special requests, VIP notes, and guest preferences
  • Maintain organized host stand and clean entrance area
  • Assist with guest accommodations when applicable
  • Support service team during peak periods as needed

Skills 

  • 1+ year experience as a host/hostess in an upscale or casual-elegant restaurant
  • Preferred experience with SevenRooms and OpenTable reservation systems
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Professional appearance and polished demeanor
  • Ability to multitask and remain composed in high-volume service
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Availability for evenings, weekends morning or evening, and holidays
