Position Summary

The Line Cook position is responsible for preparing and cooking menu items with consistency, accuracy, and speed. You’ll set up your station, follow recipes, maintain food safety standards, and work closely with the team to keep the kitchen running smoothly. Every plate that leaves your line should make someone’s day.

Key Responsibilities

· Set up, stock, and maintain cleanliness of your station before, during, and after service.
· Prepare food items according to recipes and portion standards.
· Cook menu items to proper temperature and presentation standards.
· Communicate clearly with other cooks and servers to ensure accurate and timely orders.
· Follow all food safety, sanitation, and labeling procedures.
· Keep walk-in, coolers, and prep areas clean and organized.
· Handle equipment safely and report any issues immediately.
· Assist teammates with prep or cleaning tasks as needed.
· Help prepare the kitchen for the next shift and complete end-of-shift cleaning tasks.
· Uphold “Nothing Fancy, Just Good Food” by serving every dish with care and consistency.

30-Day Success Benchmarks

· By the end of your first 30 days, you should:
o Know your station setup and closing procedures by heart.
o Understand the full menu and how to cook each item consistently.
o Communicate clearly with servers and other cooks during rushes.
o Keep your station stocked, clean, and organized at all times.
o Maintain proper food temperatures and storage standards.
o Receive positive feedback from teammates or management.
