About Us: Cienfuegos LLC is a vibrant and innovative establishment with two distinct venues under its roof. On the first floor, you'll find Amor y Amargo, a renowned cocktail haven led by a master mixologist, writer, and host of Speakeasy on Heritage Radio Network, Sother Teague. On the second floor, Avant Garden serves exquisite vegan cuisine that delights the senses.

We're seeking a dedicated General Manager to oversee our daily operations in collaboration with our Operations and Leadership Teams.
Your Role: As our General Manager, you'll be the driving force behind our success. We're looking for a hands-on leader and team player who thrives in a bustling environment. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating the entire restaurant operation.
  • Assisting our front-of-house staff with guest inquiries and concerns.
  • Organizing and supervising shifts.
  • Monitoring and controlling costs to minimize waste.
  • Developing and implementing strategies to enhance average food and beverage checks.
  • Collaborating with the Head Chef and Beverage Directors on cost control, purchasing, and inventory management.
  • Maintaining a professional restaurant image, including cleanliness and appearance standards.
  • Upholding all health and safety guidelines.
  • Ensuring food quality & customer satisfaction.
  • Overseeing compliance with insurance, legal, and health obligations.
  • Implementing innovative ideas to streamline service and enhance upselling strategies.
  • Directing the hiring, supervision, and development of front-of-house staff.
  • Conducting employee orientation and training.
  • Providing ongoing feedback and conducting performance reviews.
  • Maintaining accurate staffing plans in collaboration with the Operations department.
  • Creating a motivated team dedicated to meeting our high standards.
  • Ensuring a safe, secure, and healthy facility environment.
  • Maintaining operations by establishing policies and standard operating procedures.
  • Utilizing your cocktail bar experience to enhance our offerings.
