Job Overview

We are looking for a friendly, outgoing, and organized Host/Hostess to join our team! As the first point of contact for our guests, you'll set the tone for their dining experience by providing a warm welcome, managing waitlists, and ensuring a smooth flow of guests throughout the restaurant.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests promptly and courteously as they arrive
  • Manage reservations and walk-ins using a reservation system or waitlist app
  • Assign tables based on guest needs and server availability
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front-of-house area
  • Answer incoming calls regarding reservations, takeout orders, and general inquiries
  • Communicate wait times accurately and keep guests updated
  • Collaborate with servers, bussers, and kitchen staff to ensure seamless guest experience
  • Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return

Skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A positive, energetic, and professional attitude
  • Ability to remain calm and composed during busy shifts
  • Basic knowledge of reservation systems (e.g., OpenTable, Resy) is a plus
  • Must be able to stand for long periods and move around quickly
  • Prior restaurant or customer service experience preferred but not required
