Job Overview

Line Cooks are responsible for setting up workstations and preparing ingredients for the cooking process. Line Cooks perform basic cooking duties, day-to-day kitchen operations, and dishwashing/cleaning.

Responsibilities

**Food Preparation & Portioning:** Prepare and portion all menu items promptly, efficiently, and with attention to detail according to brand standards.
**Temperature Monitoring:** Monitor food temperatures and report any discrepancies immediately.
**Line & Prep Management:** Prepare and stock all line product items and garnishes while maintaining assigned par levels.
**Quality Assurance:** Evaluate the quality of food products and prep items.
**Dishwashing & Sanitation:** Wash and sanitize all glassware, dinnerware, cutlery, pots, pans, and service ware. Operate dishwashers as directed and ensure proper chemical/water temperatures.
**Kitchen Maintenance:** Maintain kitchen and dishwashing areas to ensure the utmost organization, visual appeal, and cleanliness. Perform necessary trash and waste management duties.
**Inventory & Food Safety:** Follow proper inventory and receiving procedures. Strictly comply with and action all health, food safety, and hygiene standards and policies.

Qualifications & Skills

**Experience:** Minimum 1 year of previous restaurant kitchen or cooking experience is preferred/an asset.
**Language Skills:** Strong communication skills in English. *(French and Japanese are considered strong assets)*

Team player focused on delivering a positive guest experience.
Proven ability to keep an organized and clean work environment.
**Physical Requirements:** Ability to stand for long shifts (up to 8 hours), walk, bend, and lift up to 30–40 lbs.
